The Mosconi Cup 2023 will start from Wednesday, December 6, to Saturday, December 9. Doors open at 5.30 PM GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) / 12.30 PM ET (Eastern Time) on every day at the event at Alexandra Palace, London, UK.
A total of two teams from two continents will participate in the game to achieve the ultimate glory. While one team participates from the USA, and another team from Europe. Each team consists of five players.
Event Format:
The respective captains of Team Europe and Team USA will select five players to compete in the tournament.
Day one of the Mosconi Cup will consist of two doubles matches and one singles match, while days two and three have two doubles and three singles.
Should the final day be required, five matches of singles will be played to decide the winner.
All matches are played as best of nine frames.
But in a slight twist to the usual rules, captains will not only lead their teams, but also compete on the table themselves - this has not happened since 2004.
Prize Pool:
There is a total prize pool of $375,000 for all the players who participate.
